  5. Sort your font suitcases and printer fonts into 'Sets', like Extensions Manager!

Fonts Manager™ 3.11 is functionally similar to the System 7.5.x Extensions Manager, but it is NOT a control panel.  It is more like a Desk Accessory.  It allows the enabling and disabling of font suitcases and printer fonts in 'Sets'.  It supports Balloon help and a Topical Help system.  Unlike other utilities, such as Suitcase™ and Master Juggler™, it works on ALL Macs with System 7.1 or later, including 7.5.3, without modifying the NORMAL startup and operation of your computer.  Thousands worldwide running all kinds of Macs have switched to Fonts Manager to get 'Up & Running'.

  21. Installation Instructions
  22. 1  Drop the file called "Fonts Manager™ Help" into the Preferences folder in the System Folder.
  23.   - For localized (non-US) System Software versions, make a NEW folder called 'Preferences' (must be the English spelling) in the System Folder, and drop it there.
  24. 2  Drop the file called "••FM SmartFont" onto the CLOSED System Folder icon, to install this dummy font file.
  25. 3  Launch Fonts Manager™ (keep stored anywhere you like - I prefer the Apple Menu).
  26.   - For localized (non-US) System Software versions, to make command-key combinations work properly, select the 'US' keyboard layout from the layout (flag) menu just to the right of the Apple Guide menu.
  27. 4  Repeat step 3 as needed...
